History

PRICE INDUCTION was founded by Jean and Bernard Etcheparre who created and developed companies known worldwide such as LECTRA SYSTEMES and BRIGANTINE AIRCRAFT.
In 1996 and 1997 the design of an engine intended for light jets appeared to be a particularly promising subject and analytical studies were started.
After three years of preparation which ended with the birth of the DGEN concept, it was decided to launch a development program based on it.

Objective

The intent is to put on the market a family of jet engines providing a thrust range suitable for light airplanes (4/6 seats) known as PLJs (Personal Light Jets) and to establish the corporate structure to sell, manufacture and maintain (MRO) these products.

Location

The company is located in north Pays Basque, in south west France, in an area commonly called the Aerospace Valley, a region that hosts an exceptional industrial environment with a lasting tradition of designing and manufacturing turbines and jet engines.

The development of the DGEN program is carried out at Price Induction by a multidisciplinary team of about 40 young engineers and technicians who graduated from top French and foreign Engineering Schools (e.g, Polytechnique, ENSAM, ISAE (SUPAERO or ENSICA), Imperial College London).

This team is backed up by very experienced and skilled professionals (senior experts) and benefits from the work of Design Offices specializing in the various related fields such as aerodynamics, mechanics, electronics.

The development program follows the established standards of the aerospace industry and should lead to the CS-E certification of the DGEN jet engines.
